Babylon Labs** (since March 2026), alongside **Head of Developer Relations, Babylon Labs** (since

AI transformation consulting. "Head of AI" is a direction, not a title Jenks has held.

## The story

Jenks trained as an electrical and electronic engineer at the University of Melbourne (BEng Hons,
2010–2013) and built an industry-sponsored Linux smart energy meter for his final-year project.
While studying he worked in Melbourne hospitality (barista, café manager, fine-dining waiter,
bartender), did business development and digital-marketing work, and from 2011 ran technology for
School of Thinking as a contracted CTO / ICT specialist — at 21 he was operating a MOOC platform
that delivered half a billion email lessons and onboarded six Australian blue-chip companies. He
joined Ericsson's graduate program in 2015 (web developer / UX practitioner), then spent three years
as an integration engineer and service delivery manager on a $10M+ telecom charging and billing
platform. From 2018 he moved into developer relations: Developer Evangelist at Xero (ecosystem
partners grew from 500+ to 1,000+ in three years), Partner Solutions Lead at Linktree (built the
platform and DevRel function), Developer Advocate at Filecoin Foundation (APAC builders, 100+
hackathons), and Head of Developer Relations at Babylon Labs (Bitcoin infrastructure). Since 2026
he leads company-wide AI transformation at Babylon Labs. Outside work he is President of the
Murrumbeena Primary School Council, a long-serving treasurer in community organisations, a
Toastmaster and a DevRel community organiser.
